Depending on their viscosity, the synthetic hydraulic and gear oils in the Rivolta F.L. series meet and exceed the HLP requirements for hydraulic oils as specified in DIN 51524 T2, as well as the CLP requirements per DIN 51517 T3 for gear oils, and exhibit outstanding properties in terms of viscosity stability, wear protection, oxidation stability, and corrosion protection. Furthermore, Rivolta F.L. 250 can be used as a high-performance chain lubricant in the food industry.
Applications
- Hydraulics: Hydraulic motors, hydraulic pumps
- Gearboxes: Spur gearboxes, bevel gearboxes, screw gearboxes; e.g., worm gearboxes
- Chains: For lubricating conveyor, transport, control, and drive chains in conveying systems (e.g., bottle/bottle crate conveying and distribution systems, slaughterhouse conveying systems), baking lines, etc.
- Levers, bolts, joints, guides, slideways, cable lubrication, spindles, idler pulleys
Our Rivolta F.L. lubricants do not attack common metals, plastics, paints, or mineral oil-resistant sealing materials. Rivolta F.L. 250 is miscible with mineral oils and ester oils, but is not miscible with polyalkylene glycols.
Preparation of the Lubrication Point
Drain the old lubricant. If the system was filled with a miscible product, no special flushing procedure is required before refilling. However, in accordance with
food safety regulations and to ensure product purity, we recommend flushing the system with the Rivolta F.L. hydraulic and gear oil to be used. If the system was filled with a non-miscible oil, a flushing procedure must be performed using the Rivolta F.L. 250 to be used before refilling.
When using the product as a chain lubricant, contaminants and old residues should be removed as thoroughly as possible. The friction points should be as dry as possible to achieve the full
adhesive strength of the products.
