In addition to providing moisture protection, Rivolta W.S.X. also prevents corrosion without compromising electrical performance.
Applications
Even under the most extreme operating conditions, in damp or corrosive environments, Rivolta W.S.X. electric motors and other electrical equipment operational. It can be used on dry, damp, or wet surfaces and parts. Electrical equipment that has been damaged or rendered inoperable by exposure to water or moisture is restored to full operational condition. A wide variety of systems and their components can be treated with W.S.X., e.g., electric motors and windings, generators, transformers, electrical switchgear and equipment, electrical measurement, regulation, and control devices, conveyor systems, machines, and much more.
Application Instructions
Before treating with Rivolta W.S.X., we recommend
- cleaning all soiled system components with a cleaner from the Rivolta S.L.X. series
- allowing the S.L.X. cleaner to dry completely
- apply W.S.X. to all electrical parts using a spray can or suitable tools such as soft brushes, ensuring the equipment is de-energized, at rest, and at normal temperature. Treat insulators, housings, etc., as well. Depending on the equipment, immersion treatment is also possible. Disassembly of parts is necessary if it would prevent W.S.X. from penetrating. After application in an immersion bath, check whether re-lubrication is necessary.
- allow W.S.X. to act for approximately 20 minutes. After this time has elapsed, systems and equipment can be put back into operation.
- to ensure adequate protection, periodic inspections are recommended to determine whether a new W.S.X. treatment is necessary.
