Rivolta K.S.P. 440 nunVOC is solvent-free and therefore VOC-free in accordance with the 31st BImSchV (VOC Ordinance). It forms a durable protective film that exhibits excellent adhesion to steel, zinc, as well as galvanized and phosphated surfaces, and many others. K.S.P. 440 nonVOC is drip-free and run-resistant while still offering good flow properties. This unique property of K.S.P. 440 nonVOC—its shear-thickening consistency—prevents or reduces dripping and sagging of the protective film when applying coat thicknesses of up to 100 μm.
At the same time, thanks to its creep properties, K.S.P. 440 nonVOC can penetrate into gaps and undercuts, protecting them from corrosion. K.S.P. 440 nonVOC contains additional inhibitors that prevent rust formation beneath the wax layer in the event of minor damage to the wax layer. Using Rivolta K.S.P. 440 nonVOC can reduce material consumption by 30% to 70% compared to solvent- and water-based waxes, while maintaining the same dry film thickness.
Applications
Application Instructions
The surfaces to be protected should be dry and clean before applying Rivolta K.S.P. 440 nonVOC. Our product can be applied at room temperature using standard compressed-air spray systems; application with a brush, roller, etc., is also possible. K.S.P. 440 nonVOC dries at ambient temperature, even in cavities. After prolonged storage, the product should be stirred briefly to ensure even distribution of the finest wax particles it contains.
If Rivolta K.S.P. 440 nonVOC needs to be removed, this can be done quickly and easily using, for example, the hydrocarbon-based products from the Rivolta M.T.X. series.
You can find suitable application equipment and accessories in our product range.
